Default New to the xE7x scene

Hey guys, just thought id throw up my first post and introduce myself...

im Brendan as my user-name indicates... hahaha

any way i've bought myself a ke70 slant front... standard everything!

after the test drive i was already bored with it so my 4a bigport is on its way already. (thanks Buddy Parts)

Its going to remain standard on the outside but im gonna have a little play with the motor, nothin serious just maybe some cams, trd copy extractors and a microtec ecu...

has anybody managed to modify a standard clutch pedal to go with the hydraulic master cylinder? i think that's the only thing im going to have trouble with?

all im looking for out of this car is a fun car to drive to work in

i'll try to take pics and write some stuff up on here explaining the swap.

    Parts im using are:
JDM AE86 Big port 4a-ge (standard ecu)
    T-50Gear Box
    AE-71 cross member
    AE-71 Clutch Master Cylinder
    AE-71 Tail Shaft
VL fuel pump feeding surge tank with another VL pump to supply motor
    Standard Fuel Lines

Dunno about pedal box yet, might try modifying the standard one?
itl receive a 2.5" exhaust with the trd copy extractors...

anyways i'll post pics up later when im not half asleep and its not 2:20am

should be a fun work sleeper

any feedback is appreciated, this will be the only other 4a-ge rwd powered car in my town besides an 86 that my friend owns... everyone else drives commodores or skylines (im guilty as well, weekend car is a 34 gtt)

theres a nice hill run through the flinders ranges near where i live... would be nice to organize a cruise through with some other sensible motorist's

yeah forgot about the return line lol, just picked up my freebie 2xVL pumps for the surge tank setup today, the T50 still has the slave and hard line on it so im all good there

It could possibly end up at the drifts for a sesion or two if i get bored haha

im guessing ur a drifter? lol

i really need some suspension mods haha, otherwise ill only be understeering through every turn... ive got a pair of lowered falcon kingsprings, just gotta get the right struts aswell... im a bit un-decided about the front tho... probly go sigma lower control arms for a quick fix?

yes i suppose i am but had a break for like last 18months just getting back into it again...

quick fix for drifting i suppose would be falcon springs, locked diff, sigma or xt130 lower control arms, wind castor all the way up, sierra shox for rear and then for a bit for some short stroke something second-hand fro the front

yeah cool, what do u drift? whats your set-up like? ive got a mate that drifts at mallala... white 33 4dr that rips some nice skids

i used to have a car (r31) setup for drift but i bent a valve somehow? gave up on it now ive bought a house so ive gotta be a bit sensible with my $crilla... the car never actualy made it to the drift tho

what made u have a break? did u ever place when u did drift?

i never competed i could barely ever afford to go to the track... always wanted to enter some mini comps atleast though. theyve now closed drift at calder park here in melbourne too which is the stupidest shit i ever heard. guess its back to street drift again.

i dont drift anything atm... currently selling my bwm so i can get something. used to have a corona then a corolla then a gazelle... definently want another corona (or maybe an RA65 celica because its mostly the same thing)
i had s13 suspension and shit like that in them... alot of fun.

i only stopped because i lost my license for 6months due to a drifting related incident and kind of lost interest during that period (which was saught of longer because of the couple of months leading up to court and THEN taking the license).
and i hate getting pulled over cause my cars too low

    oh... this might interest you

spewin dude! yeah my mates buying nice shoes for 3 years!!! got caught driftin down a back street and scared a lady who dobbed him in... he probly coulda got away with it if he wasnt still half pissed when the cops interviewd him... she said he was driving a celica but he was in a fc haha

my 31 went on the road about 3 or 4 times before the valve died... i couldnt realy drive it cos i was only on my L's lol, it had the cliche 20det and s13 coilies.

nice driving in the rona my ke70 will go 90 degrees into a corner but some how come out understeering lol... that will soon be fixed tho
