if that was a stright line car... that would be cool.
if its for sliding... then i can understand why it wouldnt handle so well...

but this could of been one of thoes import places with a dead sprinter and a wrecked R34 and some other random nissan parts. if thats the case i think its well cool.

Would it really handle that badly? I mean it's got the IRS subframe and a much larger diff in the back, that's going to add some weight to the rear to cancel out the weight in the front. And you have that bigger gearbox in the middle as well. The cars running some rather large 17" tyres too, giving grip most of us can only dream of.
Be good to see this thing on the track I think, would rip the absolute shit out of any period correct ae86 out there

youre thinking of it in an over simplified way.

youre right. those things you mention would help. in comparison to a car with the same engine and a normal set up.

but its still a massive amount of inertia in front of the axle line. it might handle sort of ok if they get the set up spot on. but not good, certaintly not improved, and definitely nothing like an 86.

props to the work done one the car, give credit where its due.
But not having the engine set back at all your still dealing with an iron block which has two more cylinders over the front wheels, so dynamicaly its going to be pretty bad through turns.

IMO i think a VQ series engine conversion would be something worth while, alloy block, three cylinders long, good power whether turbo or kept na.

yeah not a massive fan, would be fun but i wreckon even in a straight line it'd be pretty average as you'd never be able to get traction

only japs will do something like this...

i bet if the car was built in an island called Japan, most people will look the other way about the build...
