Welcome.

ever built)

More details below.
Mods : Almost absolutely unmodified and original.
Heavy duty headlight relay and wiring. Driving Lights.
Extra brake light. Rear speakers. After market AM/FM.
Crash : No panel work ever done on the car.
History Sustained a broken headlight plus cracked wraparound
indicator once when kangaroo failed to give way…that’s
life in the bush. Also a couple of tiny dents on bonnet and
passenger side frontguard. See pics.
Roadworthy Cert : Car is registered in NSW. Rego VZC-513 current
until 10 Feb 2010.
If you need a RWC register this car interstate, then I would
need to organize this. Car is in good order and I don’t
expect any dramas whatsoever. RWC is not needed to
transfer the rego within NSW as a Roadworthy check is
done annually for each rego renewal, next due Feb.
COMMENTS:
Up for sale is my beloved AE86 Toyota Sprinter which I purchased new on 31 Aug 1983 from Riverina Toyota Wagga Wagga. I still have the original purchase receipts.
This was my first and only car for over 25 years and it's been a great car.
I recently bought a 4WD - (Toyota of course), so its time to find another home for the Sprinter. So, I'll try to give you as much info about this car as I can - it may be just what you're looking for.
This car was first registered in NSW with rego MKS-893. Work eventually transferred me from NSW to Canberra and for a time the car had an ACT rego YUG - 897. When I moved back to NSW, it became TUV-338. The car was unregistered for a couple of years while I was overseas. Upon my return, it was again registered in NSW as VZC-513. This rego is current until Feb 2010. Just included this detail as it would clarify any rego searches that you might like to make. I’ve got papers to verify these rego changes.
I live in rural Australia and the car has always been located in inland not coastal areas.
The car can be collected and driven from Tumbarumba NSW (That's 110Km SE of Wagga Wagga NSW, or about 80KM South of Tumut). If NSW purchaser, then Rego could be transferred at the RTA agency in Tumbarumba or Wagga on weekdays up till 4pm on the day of collection. I could arrange to pick you up from Wagga airport, if you wanted to fly out and drive the car back. Probably cheaper to do that than carfreight.
Another option to get here: Tumbarumba is serviced by Countrylink Train/Coach service (Please copy this link)
Anyway, I would prefer that the buyer collects the car in person from this location because a Notice of Disposal of Vehicle promptly needs to be lodged with the NSW RTA. To do that I need to provide the buyer's Name, Address and Drivers licence details, and it would be better for me to verify these details in person.
The car has been on eBay and I had a number of enquiries, including my fair share of cyber crime type email requests, so I need to make sure of buyers identity. Nuff said.
I have $5,000 on this car due to low frame number, new tyres and the car's sound condition. So here's an opportunity to grab a tidy AE86 Sprinter.
It is the buyers responsibility to either inspect the vehicle (recommended) or otherwise make all enquiries to your complete satisfaction prior to purchase.
If you would like to know how far away from Tumbarumba NSW you are, please try Geoscience Australia Distance Calculator (Please copy this link) It will give you an approximate idea but allow a bit extra for road distance. Tumbarumba is roughly half way directly between Sydney and Melbourne.
Insurance of the car is the buyers responsibility from the time of purchase.
Car rego must be transferred within 14 days or else fees and/or fines can apply.

This car was advertised on eBay. It is not currently listed there, so when you view the pics you will note that there is an eBay item reference.
That’s about all I can think of.
Questions or enquiries of a general nature, please post a reply.
All offers or serious interest, please PM me. My username: VZCSprinter
Phone contact details, please PM me first.
Kindly note that I’m also away 18-20 Sept.
Post will remain open to offers beyond that time until car is sold, and I will add a post when it is sold.
Thankyou very much for your interest – Ian.

factory paint protection?
30kw club
I would offer $2750 if it was in Perth, possibly $3250 if I saw it in person (which aint going to happen).
The low frame number is sort of a plus (i have a low frame on my gold one), the one owner is a plus too but the 440,000km is definately a minus.

Reply to rthy: Factory paint protection? Do you mean rustproofing underneath?
I can't remember if it had any special paint protection - just whatever was delivered into Aus at the time. There is no body rust and underneath is sound, so it must be doing OK. No coastal salt exposure.
It did have ming fabric protection done all those years ago...Cheers - IW
Reply to Nikkojoe : I've already received offers at $3.5K
I thought about selling it a few years ago at about 300,000Km. It had been a good car and caryard didn't offer me much so I kept it until now its got 440000Km. Then
I couldn't do anything about changing it over due to the recent tough drought years here. So anyway, it is what it is. Cheers - IW
Imo you should just keep it for a little while longer (say another year or two). By that time it will be worth the money you are asking (as long as you dont keep putting more km on it).
Otherwise good luck with the sale

Reply to Nikkojoe: Thanks for your best wishes.
I won't be putting more Km on it as I have a preowned 4WD for all that now.
Don't plan on keeping Sprinter next couple of years as rego costs etc offset a fair chunk of the potential gain. Cheers - IW
5k is not bad for this i think !!!!
clean car mate...you can tell it has been kept well and not just all washed up in a fancy picture to try make a sale...
this is a real good car for someone who wants to get into the ae86 game...wish my frist ae86 was this one...
would rather a clean 4ac no rust, original over a rusty, shitty paint job 4age anyday as a starter...
dose
Reply to shift_rook: Yeah I have given a bit of thought to keeping it and putting a 4age in and aircon would be really handy too out here...you might convince me to keep it...and if I had more $ then I just might. However I decided to get a 4WD Toyota Surf 3.0L turbo diesel as that's more versatile for where I'm at and what I need. Cheers - IW
