Car is ready to be picked up... new engine/gearbox in.

Hope it is all running.

Now just need to organise exhaust and tune!!!

SOOOOO EXCITING!

5 Weeks without my baby! Still a long way to go to get her where I want it, but I just want to see it!

NEW ENGINE IS IN! Runs likes a bastard though on stock computer!

Only thing, got a fuel (well it definitely smelt like it) leak coming from somewhere which is a bummer, can't see where the prick is leaking from either... seems to be at the front of the engine somewhere which is weird...

Anyways! Its in and it runs, so that's ok. Just hope the leak isn't something serious!

yeah dunno where it is coming from... we couldnt see just it was dripping out when it was running.

ECU will be Microtech LT10s which is sitting in my room waiting!

Like a dog... needs new ecu and proper tune.

Its just been set so i can drive it where it needs to go (home / exhaust shop / tuner)

But throttle response is very different.

Since the its not tuned, cant hammer it (not that i would) just have to ease into it. but yeah felt quite different.

Temp gauge (dig dash) sat 1 bar (lower than usual) below half way once it warmed up till I got home which was interesting.

Yeah feels rough, just wish it was all tuned and exhaust was all done! if only.

I was only changing at 3000. plus it is a rebuilt engine so dont want to push it too much just yet hehe.

wish this fucking leak wasnt there though... its a fkn caaaarnt!

Well just when I thought it was fuel... its not. Its oil. great.

Smelt just liked fuel though and looked like it too.

Anywho, my dad's mate (mechanic) rocked over and confirmed it, looks like the crank seal has popped. Not 100% as we'll have to pull it apart. But yeah it was fine all week at his shop / when the guy took it for a drive to make sure it was ok befor ei left. It was all ok when I got in, and looks like it has just started leaking between his workshop and my home.

Not good.

So now got to wait to see what is going on there. If the engine builder fucked up/seal if fucked/seal popped out.

Not what I needed, but shit happens! Hopefully she's ok!
