    Default pro's on carbies on 86kw 4age

    hi guys ,

i might be in the position in getting a carby setup form one of the members here. pending on how i go with the trade .

anyhoo. just wondering what gains can i expect when i convert a standard re-built bigport 4ag over the same motor with standard jdm efi stuff?

    more power?

    more response?

    more sexy indcution noise?

The pro for me is I don;t have to worry about getting EFI fuel pump/ surge tank/ JDM fuel tank.

Con would be tuning it would be harder wouldnt it?

depends on your contacts really.. if you have some on knowledgeable helping you with the carbs, it could be a good way to go.

a quad set up is gonna cost you more probably.. but you will have better economy and less maintenance.

carbs, cheaper, sometimes a lot, and it is also possible to make a tiny bit more power than quads on a similar engine, as long as your ignition set up and tuning is decent. the carbs can offer a better fuel droplet size the a normal production car fuel injector.
