Hi all, after some advice from the ol wise ones on this forum. Looking to buy a Beams engine. What is a reasonable price to pay? Who can you suggest I should contact? What (compact) gearboxs bolt up to this engine without an adaptor plate -don't mind if is 5spd? Are they difficult to get going on original loom/ecu? etc. Anything I should be mindful/careful of? cheers

I bought my halfcut down in sydney, everything you need
Halfcut was 3500 which included motor, gearbox (6 speed), ecu, dash, radiator everything you need.
I have only just installed this in my car roughly around $2200 to make have a mate install with custom engine mounts and g/box mounts plus wiring.
I havent had a power run just yet as i have only just receive the car back. But from what i can see it is smashing the 20v that was in my car.
Pm if you want more details or want to check fitment and go for a drive.
That's a cheap front cut!
thats dirt cheap. where in sydney?
Thanks guys. Have PMed. cheers
Through a local importer.
Worked out pretty cheap for me.

Hey guys. Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread but i've been looking into the beams conversion for a while. One thing that I can seem to find is how people go about the engine mounts? Are there OEM mounts or an of the shelf kit that would work or do you need to go custom?
Thanks in advance
check the build threads for chicken or myself on mounts... thats the easy part
