i use royal purple 20w / 50w but my car leaks to the shit so i just use whatever a servo has untill i pull my motor out cause RP costs to much to keep topping up
sprinterman86 will always over any oil recommend mobil1 full sin 10/30 or thinner nothing else
imo its best to have a leak in your sump because as long as you check your levels and keep topping it up you alwase have new oil in there my engine takes a flogging as a drift/weekend car and its looks brand new on the inside btw i have a 4age bigport fairly stock
the dyno pull to 300rwkw
BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less
anything castrol i my books
used to run castrol edge but i am using gtx3 these days.
If you really want to see how your oil is performing. Drop down to a CAV/Caterpiller dealership and ask for an SOS kit, it will cost around $50, next time you drain your oil take a sample back to them, they will analyse(this is included in the initial cost) and will give you a full run down on metals etc found in the oil.
They use this to determine oil change intervals and any wear in the engines/gearboxes etc on their product.
even if you only do it once for the novelty aspect, you will be amazed at the information they give you.
What would yous recommend I use in my 22re?
Hpr 40
25W-70 Really?
How would it be compared to the Sin25?
I don't really understand oils BTW.

yeah i dont really understand the type of oils, but from what everyone has been saying, they all sound like thin oils...
isnt thin oil like bad for old non rebuilt engines?...
dose
oils have ratings for a reason the way i see it and i was explained to by sprinterman is that for eg 15-30 is a fairly thin oil compared to 20-50 witch is a thick oil used for motors with minor knocking noises as the engine wares over time you have growing gaps in bearings witch is where the thicker oils come in on a new motor i would use 0-15 Mobil 1 then at about 100,00 id go a little thicker 15-30 royal purple then at about 200,000 id go for 20-50 royal purple but it comes down to how you treat you engine and what you do with it
