    Default Coilovers:(

    Car - ke70

    motor - 4age

    use -street daily

problem -my coilovers suppoivly leaking gas and knock

occurs/started when - i pretty much bought the car

personal situation - when i drive along my coilovers make a weird knocking noise and sound like they will fall out ive been told that the shock is leaking air and its fucked cause they were cut n shut too short.

would it be that or just the bearing on top of my camber tops? n is it dangerous to drive like this?

    cheers cal.

how much stroke to they have ? tighten the gland nut that holds shock body in REALLY well or else it will make a vibrating/rattle noise which will sound horrible.

also nut ontop of camber tops with a rattle gun if u havnt got one tighten as much as u can when car is on ground and has weight on it then hit it round a few times with a hammer!.

take it out make sure its all tight put it back in take it for a quick drive, while their out take em appart see if any oil is leaking, could be a blown seal,

check that they are spaced properly. mine were knocking because the gland nut couldn't be fully tightened, added a 2mm spacer beneath the insert and its fixed

thats what i ment by the spacing, when you do it up fully and tight check it it moves up and down and side to side, if there is play you need to take the shock out and add a spacer
