Default The Family streeter! Dori princess st141

Thought i'd Do a Build thread on the "mrs" daily.......Soon to be slider project!

Bought this a few months back, with the intention of daily dutys before I bought the markII,started a Thread then....But it then turned into the MarkII tread....The Mrs addopted it back then and I put it on the Road for her after her 2001 kia rio shit it's self!

It's been copping mild mods since the day of rego....the first being chopped springs and a set of 14" rims.
She didn't like the way it bounced around after the chop,so I replaced the shocks and installed some 6kg AJPS springs, which stiffened it up heaps!

Other than that,it stayed basically stock, bar a few stickers and a Clark Rubber front Lip.

And thats how it's been since....Untill now!
    Current Specs Are:
    -Stock 2s and Auto
    -6kg AJPS springs all round
    -xt130 struts/brakes/LCA's
-KYB exel G short shocks all round
    -14x6.5 +8 Sharak X1 rims....also a set of 14x6's aussie rims or some kind?
    -Clark Rubber front lip
    -s/wheel
-Tacho n shift light (laugh factor)

    Mods To come: (comming soon)
    -22re and 5 speed conversion!!
    - AJPS Lock spacer/Traction brackers/Panhard
    -Front Strut brace
    -Tacho dash
    -New bushes throughout
    -rear spirit wing
-some 20-25mm spacers for the rear
    -Lipped arches!

So I decided to part out my ke70 and keep the sussy gear for this! hehe
The corona's still in kinda stock form....so should be able to get some good progress shots.
Plans are to keep it mild and under the radar...with decent power and sussy to slide when i want to.....Daily by Day,Drifter By Night!
Probably take it to Winton too once it's done, possibly interstate for a weekend, just for fun!....Looking forward to that!!

    Pics from past to present:

Need to take some fresh pics with the other rims, gotta charge the camera!

    Hope Ya's enjoy!

Well, it's a good thing you have an RT142 to take everything from - that conversion is a CUNT.

All brake lines need to be changed
Brake master needs to be changed
Fuel lines need to be changed
    Crossmember needs to be changed.

As well as all the usual stuff.
    etc etc.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

Well i expected the cross member, and suspected maybe the fuel lines.....But why the brake stuff?

The Sr lip has just been put on that car....its more of a bitsa than mine will be!
Lip will be for sale soon.

So I put in My front sussy gear in today anyway!
Made a big diff in handling...doesnt feel like the front tyres are gunna roll off the rims anymore!
Slightly wider rims with better offset probably help too?
    Pics after today:

So Javal...Have you dont this before then? Might hit ya up allong the way.....I'm planning to do it over a week anyway....maybe 2 if i take my time?

    Cheers!

Yeah it'll be a week of hard slog.

Brake lines have to be changed because:

ST141 master has the outlet ports pointing out towards the motor, as such the brake lines foul on the 22R-E Intake manifold.

So you change to the RT142 master and lines to suit, then realize they don't line up with the bias block, so you put the RT142 bias block and RHF + LHF lines in, then realize the brake line to the back doesn't line up, so you change that to RT142 spec also.

The RT142 master has the ports in different spots (one on top and one out front? from memory) and thus solves this problem. If you want to avoid changing the lines, find someone who can make them for you and just change the master.

Best way to do it is to strip EVERYTHING out of the engine bay of the ST141, then do fuel lines, tank and braking stuff and feed the wiring loom through. Then proceed with crossmember + engine swap.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

    ah yep...I see!

Sounds like it will be alot of fun! Cheers for the quick guide though man, much appreciated!
On top of that,i'll need to do the pedal box from auto to man and install the clutch master/lines etc!

Think i'll start by taking the motor n box out of the RT142,strip out most of the parts i'll need first....well the big ones I wont forget where they go anyway, lol.
Cos the corona is still the mrs daily....so she'll kick up a stink if i leave her without a car for too long.....hehehehe!
Or just steel the MarkII...and We cant have that?
    cheers

Is this a live axle or IRS model?

Really like the *T14* cars. Would love to do a BEAMS conversion on one.

It's the live axle model.....not %100 if the doner car is irs or not yet?

Yea I always liked the t4 rona's too.....Like way before I knew Ae86 gear fit into a ke70,I just assumed The corona was the closest cheap RWD alternitive to an 86 for drifting,Overlooking the ke70/ae71.
I prefer the rona.....st141's have little to fuck all street cred = Little to fuck all attention from the cops! touch wood!

not meaning to sound rude...but why wouldnt you just put the sus into the RT142?

i mean it seems the logical thing to do rather than going through all the pain of doing the conversion?

    looking good though

i reckon ill do a corona as a streeter sometime soon

Yeah...seems logical,I know......but the st141 is already registered, and "the boss" doesn't want a white car.....She likes the blue one! haha.........This way is more cost effective than a full respray!
Plus the body on the blue one is Mint* few tiny pin/trolly dents in the l/h side but strait as on the r/h! and %100 rust free!
Its a one family owned car before me....Two registed owners until now,
the other car has been ass raped a few times by the looks of it!! lol

All in all.....More work,yes....But I'll appreciate it more in the end than if i just throw all my gear into the shitta!
And i wont have to put up with the mrs wingeing she doesn't like the colour! hahahaha
She Goes on about how good the black n blu contrast is.....so i don't wanna upset her!
rear wing will be going black too!.....And maybe the old chop chop of the rear louver??
