2nd hand tyre places usually only have tyres with a decent amount of tread...
I got 2 x kumho ecstas and 2 x goodyear eagle f1's both 195/50/15's for my daily for $60 each, all had a good 85-90% tread left on em...

I do like to get new tyres on the 86 though, want some adrenalins pretty badly..

coleman tyres are fucking ridiculous. pair of rock hard 205/55/15 re88s with 20% tread for 80.. each.. "if im a drifter and come back and get more"

just ring around most tyre shops have some second hand stock.. usually try bridgestone n bob jan in sumner park they have a fair bit. but beware, what you can pay like $60 a pair for you can find in tyre piles. most shops dont give a shit as long as you dont make a mess

btw can get you brand new tyres through work if your keen.. $135 for a pair of 185/60/14 kenda komet.. great tyres to skid on and last for ages..

i used to work in a tyre shop and really hated the people that scratched around, best excuse you can use is you are wanting to grow potatoes or you need them for your horses, and say something like the drums i use work best with 15s and you dont want any with wire out of them, if you get 10 and only want 2 go to the tip ditch the others for 5 bucks, go to a tyre fitting place and pay 10 bucks and you get your tyres for around 15 bucks a pair

I used to do tyre runs all the time, but its always a gamble and more often or not you get shit tyres, they look sweet at the time until you check em in daylight and find a hole or some wack shit wrong with them.. best I ever got tho was a decent pair of GIII's and RE01's.. get a few good skid tyres but I just prefer to have brand new ones these days...
Also got done with possession of tainted goods over some tyres that I got once... had 6 nice pirrelli tyres that got confiscated and a day fucking around in court.... sick, not
