    Default T-50 DIY Rebuild

I found this while looking for rebuild kits.

Lots of pic's and step by step instructions.

My apologies if this or similar has been put up already, but it looks good.

    cool article

just beware before you start to strip it cause most of those parts listed are no longer available and there arent too many people who sell rebuild kits in w.a either.

even quoting bearing numbers most6 bearing companies dont even stock or could match the bearings

I figured that could be the case, but Tom just got a kit from the states, so someone in the world is still doing them if you look hard enough.
Although after the instructions he does say the kit and rebuild cost him $800+ USD.
Is it worth it? That's up to who ever wants to do it....

I've found more kits available elsewhere. My kit is not genuine, but bearings are exactly the same.

Will be putting mine together these holidays although I need to get the old bearings pressed off and new ones pressed on etc.

I wouldn't either, there are way toooooooo many parts to lose, and put back together.
I could pull it apart though

does anyone know the number of teeth speedo gears have for 3.9 , 4.1 , 4.3 , and 4.7 final drive?
    i think the 4.7 has 22T?
(im only interested in 4.1 but im sure others would like to know)

On that link didn't it say the GTS Speedo gear had 19 teeth? GTS came with a 4.1 diff right?
