Yeah but these are 100cc so id say by going 80cc your downgrading, they have a 135cc head and piston thats the upgrade..

Id say they do that with the 50cc maybe?

not too sure, depends on the piston and stuff, could very well have an 80cc bore and a shorter piston to have 120cc.
Havnt looked into it a great deal,

Yz80 makes around 18hp. The later model yz85 makes over 20hp You'll never ever see power like that out of a beewee air cooled 100cc or even the same motor in 125cc without huge mods to the cases/porting. Air cooled Yamaha S motors for go karts make 18hp but that's at something like 16,000rpm. The beewee bottom end would last to the end of the street at that sort of revs.

The capacity means fuck all. There are 77cc aerox's (water cooled) making 24hp. The state of tune is what matters.

I have a an aerox 50 with 70cc kit (cast iron, 2 ring kit so not the high performance end of the spectrum) and a stock beewee (or even a mildly hotted one) wouldn't see which way i went. Let me tell you, passing cars at 115km/h on the freeway makes them look twice. It's fast enough for what i want, i have bigger bikes for longer range work. Around the city it kicks arse.

The 125 malossi kit for the beewee seems to push the top speed to around 105-110 km/h. Being air cooled restricts them a lot.

If you could convert one to water cooled 80 or 85cc dirt bike bore/piston that would be the best mod ever.

i ride a 07 cr250 which is pretty grunty for a 2 banger and lifts the wheel all the way through the revs,
and i still get surprised every time i hop an a cr/yz 85

af300e your tottaly right. Its like the water cooled vs the aircooled pocket bike engines, one is a primitive thing based off a garden tool motor and the other is a multiport sleeved screamer

    I love 2 strokes
