you can use a smaller or other manufacturers canister too. if space is at a premium something like charade or S13 canister will work.
as gilly said just move it dont REmove it...

wont fuel fumes leak? not sure though!
You will not notice having it or not in terms of how the motor runs and power. Most modifyed cars don't have it hooked up properly anyway.
Fuel fumes travel this path:
fuel tank> alloy tube to engine bay> charcole canister> vacuum hose> valve (sometimes electric)> vacuum hose> throttle body> combustion chamber.
The valve is ment to open at part throttle. On a 20valve this is electric operated by the ECU.
yeah i had a look at mine and there there one of the hose from underneath to nowhere so hasnt really effected anything but it was like that when it was imported
The big hose under the canister is a drain/overflow or whatever. It is not ment to go anywhere. It will go to either the chassis rail or the road.
oh right fair enough seemed odd just hanging there though. sorry to go off topic but mine was making an odd hissing type of noise when it when sitting there after cooling down any reason to that? or is it just the noise of it going through?
Yank the fucker out.
Hissing noise can happen at any time, even with the motor turned off. Often when the car is just sitting in the sun. Vapour from the tank being released.
