undo your shocks on the diff side so u can get it lower.
i was trying earlier last week to take out my stock exhaust from the resignator back but couldn't twist it over the diff. everything was undone and the diff was dropped a bit it was literally just dangling there.
is there any easy way to pull them out from resignator back without cutting it in half. cheers

yer of course
undo the shock absorber, take out the spring. and see what else is stopping it from coming out. if its the upper and lower trailing arms take out those too (or at least unbolt one end of them and bend them out of the way)

yeah i undid the shock and took out the spring.
this was in the way. lower trailing arm???
And yeah the lower trailing arm im pretty sure it was got in the way just wasn't sure wether u could undo that.....so is it safe to just simply undo that bolt coz if it is then the exhaust should easily slide out.
that would be the upper trailing arm. (upper being on top of diff, lower being under diff)
yer unbolt it, it might be a pain to put back in but it will go back in.

Might want to unbolt the sway bar from the diff too, that let my diff go lower when I took mine out.
ok so i tried to take it out again today.
-unbolted exhaust from resonator and slipped of rubbers that where holding it up.
-undid schock
-removed spring
-undid swaybar
but still had issues getting it out i must be doing something wrong coz u say it is possible. With the trailing arms they seem to be bolted then welded around so can't undo.
- is there another way i can drop the diff anymore. everything was undone?
- plus what way do i pull it out ive been pulling it from the muffler so towards the back is that right?
i think you might be over thinking it mate!!!
the diff is only held in by:
4 trailing arms (with BOLTS holding them in)
the tailshaft (wont worry you)
the sway bar(might need to take out one end)
the panhard rod (wont have to worry about that either)
oh and some brake lines, but they shouldnt worry you at all....
pull it out over the diff, so it comes out near the drum brakes, and do it on the passenger side so its the shortest distance.
essentially if its in the way unbolt it form whatever is holding it on!!!
what you mean the trailing arms is welded on?? have a look at that picture you posted. see that chunky bolt on the end of the trailing arm??? undo it!

so ur saying pull it from the resonator end not the muffler end. so muffler will come over the diff and out last?
nah man dont try and pull it backwards over the diff, it wont fit.
slide it out SIDEWAYS so the muffler doesnt get any further away form the diff. this is actually quite hard to explain.
but ok, here is a way of thinking about it. do not try and pull the muffler out the back of the car. instead the "hoop" that is currently going over the diff, move the whole thing so that the hoop goes over the spring seat, then move it further out so that the hoop goes over the drum brakes. and if you have all the trailing arms/spring/shock out of the way it should basically fall out of the car.
if you get stuck, undo the both shock absorbers, take off the panhard rod. and jack the car RIGHT UP and let the diff drop RIGHT DOWN. (with the upper and lower trailing arms off on the passenger side)
