    Default 79 Mk1 Golf... daily :)

so have owned this for a while now, think about 3 months.

Used to roll on cutties and cruise with a decently powered 1.6L 8v engine.

Have since done a lot to it

    1976 Golf Mk1 4 door

    Body
    GTi Flares
    GTi Front Lip
    GTi Quad headlight Setup
    Badgeless boot.

    Suspension
Spax Lowered springs all round (about 2.5inch ish drop)
Some German made shocks, Bilsten maybe? ill have to look later.
GTi Factory Front and rear Swaybars

    Wheels
    Speedy 15x7 with 205/15 rear, 195/50 front

    Brakes
GTi Vented rotors up front with bigger GTi calipers.
    Stock rear drums

    Engine
    1.8L
    32/26 weber
    Electric Dizzy
    Extractors into a 2" system
    4 speed

    Interior
    Sports Wheel
Unknown front seats (only got drivers side one in so far
Volts and Oil PSI gauge in console
Pioneer headunit, 2GB usb stick with tunes
Fusion 4" speakers in Carpeted Dash
Axis 6x9's in parcel shelf (need to mod new shelf to fit them)

Havnt opened up engine as its how i bought it, but most likely lightened flywheel and a HD clutch!

Goes really well for what it is, need to finish off engine install as ive just put it in and havnt got it going, but engine was in a donor Mk1 i bought, and it went hard

And here the pics, its bloody dirtee!!, havnt driven it in over a week due to new engine, and suspension mods ect.

    New engine and cam in

Still a little off on mixture and timing, one or two flat spots at times, then again its been a while since ive driven a car with a big cam. anything under 3k is rather boggy
