Default Car cleaning, what do you use?

After just two hours of cleaning my car I wondered what products you guys use?
I'd rather have an '86 than a girlfriend.

    Armour all for plastics
    Vacuum cleaner for the inside
Car shampoo, cut and polish and car wax for the outside.

To add to this, does anyone bother with those automatic car-washes at servos? Are they bad for the paint? Or no problems?

auto car washes (drive throughs) are a bit rough on your car imo.

I use Turtle Wax "Bug & Tar Remover" in the spray bottle + a couple of rags. Not sure if it's around anymore though. No need for water, polishes the paint and removes almost everything off the paint. Then for the interior I use armorall for the plastics and a vacuum cleaner for the rest.

the water in car washes tends to be recycled partially and gets acidic, attacks the paint makes it oxidise. The soap they use is pretty bad and aggressive too, alright for a 4by to clean wheels and under body and stuff but otherwise id steer clear.

wash with auto smart or sonax products. this is my profession and i stand by those brands all depends on what is bi\eing done but wash with a detergant with light "wax" grade then ajax for windows. for grit i got shit for that that disolves it without scrubbing with a brush "thats scarry"
