    Default 2010-2020 motorsport direction?

Just the same with the rich getting richer, and grassroots motorsport getting even harder to enter?

    Petrol will cost more?

economy is up the shit. its bounched back a little bit but worldwide its gonna drop crazily in the next 6 months.

even the rich wont be able to race for this reason

    FEAR THE ECONOMIC CRYSIS!

In all reality I don't think motorsport will be around in 10 years time.

its not that expensive, the things that have changed in price havnt really changed the cost of motorsport.

to me the cost of motorsport is the cost of the car you build.
which will be getting cheaper as more people sell good shells they cant afford.

entering events, will be reduced in price as track owners and organise want to fill spots.

trailers will always be around the same money.

fuel prices effect how much it costs to trailer your car around, but if your not using a f350 and your sensible it will only add up to around 1500 bucks a year max 500 dollars difference because of fuel.

All the people that race the porche gt3 cup, if they cant afford it theyll probably race ipra, if the ipra guys cant afford it theyll be doing track days.

one thing i can say for certain is time attack days are going to become more common, as less people want to be involved in a championship that floats around the place, and would rather have cracks at getting a good time around one or two tracks.

personally ive built my car to do anything from hill climbs and time attack to drift. Because variety is the fruit of life.

I think you will find that if motorsport dies, it won't be because of a lack of fuel or money or anythign like that, it will likely come down to a lack of places to race.

In my mind a major issue in Australian motorsport is the fact that v8 pooper cars sucks all the money out of other categories, and then goes and races on street circuits. I was dumbfounded to see that up in Townsville they practically built a race circuit which can only been used once a year by the v8 circus. If they had spent the same money 20km out of town the local car club would have somewhere to race year round. It boggles the mind! Not to mention the other street races that take money away from the real circuits (Homebush anyone?)

Personal transportation will live on in one way or another regardless of what fuel we use, and as long as we have personal transportation there will people like us making it faster, lower and better, and looking to prove that by racing/drifting/doing trackdays. The question isn't "if" motor racing will continue, more of how, where and whether it will be legal or not.

pretty sure they already canned the gt3 cup season due to lack of entries??? mainly from what i heard the tax man was chasing motorsports as a tax dodge.

more as a way to stop sideways wage for executives.

so instead of paying him 250000 a year, they pay him 80 and the rest is "sponsorship" or "advertising" budget

that way it can also become a tax deduction for the company and he only pays tax on his initial wage. a way to get around fringe benefits tax.
