Yes, a 20V will bolt up to your T50. You mention 20V but then say your changing from supercharger to turbo. Do you have a 4AGZE?. As for the gearbox being strong enough i guess it all depends on your driving style
hey all i am about to buy a AE101 20v for my sprinter i was just wondering if it will bolt up to my t50 bow? and if so will it be strong enough once i change the super charger over to a turbo? also wat mods do i have to do to make it all work? cheers

yeah its a 4AGZE 20v the 165hp version, some one told me thhat a w88 box out of a supra i think would bolt up to the 20v, any truths?
No such thing a 4agze 20v unless someone builds one.
b4 you get burnt to hell on this site a 4agze is a 16v, no 20v 4agze's came out unless its been modded by a previous owner and a 20v head has been put on and they dont make 165hp in standard form. also a w58 box is what you want, to my knoledge no such thing as a w88 box the w58 box will need alot of work to fit i.e. custom x member, hole cut in you tunnel for the shifter, custom tail shaft, new bell housing or adapter plate fair bit of money there, just go for a t50 dude it will bolt up no dramas. if i were you i would look at my diff first

ok i am asking these questions because i dont know and i am very appreciative for all your answers and help, i just want to get all the facts before i buy everything, i was on a web site and there was a bit of info there i must have got it wrong, so the AE101 is a 4agze 16v? so i would then have to get a 20v head and replace the 16v?
First you have to decide what your using the car for
then give it enough power to do it.
Supercharged 4agze power then turbo charge it
or
N/a 20 valve then turbo charge it.
You can't just get a 4agze 16v then wack a 20 valve head on
as the valve reliefs in the pistons are different between 16v & 20v's.
3s-96: valve releifs dont nesessarily need to line up for an engine to still work. Many people use 4agze pistons in their 20v engines with no mods. Bad things happen when a belt snaps though

The confussion is this: The AE101 Levin/Trueno/Ceres/Marino models were available with either a 4A-GE 20valve, or a 4A-GZE 16v supercharged, or 4A-FE or 5A-FE.
All can fit a T50 with the right parts.
