"the magic formula for gravel rallying: 1000kg, 300hp and 4 cylinders."
if only guys realised 100 - 140 between trees get the adrenalin flowing more than 200 + on a circuit they might jack them back up to their right height and have a go. Rally tyres are cheaper then semi slicks (have bought both) too and rally is the original drift.
the tape on the strut brace is a spare fan belt, handy when you need it,
have some more somewhere but its hard to take photos when inside the car.
the quads make more induction noise than the exhaust does! poor little thing is running just a standard bigport with quads atm, but have a rebuilt smallport block, waiting for the budget to let me replace bolts with ARP ones and new cams (old ones got a bit hot)
Car is pretty rough in real life, its been a rally car for quite a few years. Currently bare metalling the sills and rear wheel arches due to surface rust from stone chips and finding a bit more body filler than I thought.
would like to put an airbox around the inlet runners but at their length (designed for its original motor) and position It looks a little complex
I only know of one video and I couldnt get a copy off the guy, it was magic you can hear the car coming for about 30 seconds before you could see it, motor rising and falling between 5- 7500 rpm, combination of induction and exhaust noise, taken from the same spot as the first picture.
found some more,
Rally de Femmes 2007 it ran in the forest around Canberra for women drivers only, ( the idea is to let your partners have a go for putting up with you all year) was partners first rally.
Dont know why but this is my favourite, doesnt look fast but I like it

it also when I found out 4age headbolts are a use once item when racing. got the shits with the over heating so decided to go till the motor stopped (somehow it didnt) we did a 10 plus km stage and 30 transport with no water and we cooked the motor big time crank journals were blue and dizzy cap deformed under its own weight, cams dont look good.
Got to meet Neal Bates and the Toyota rally team because of it but. top Blokes.
