AE86 zenki what axles?
Drum?
Disc?
Square?
Purple?
And just so you know, the answer to your question is almost definitely no they aren't compatible.
hey guys anyone know if the axles and bearings are the same on both ae86 zenki axles and T18 T series axles?

Yes. Both the axles and the bearings are the same.
know the sizing of the axles are the same was just asking if bearings / seals are the same for replacement on my own, thanks jonny
I thought zenki (disk) axles used double row bearings and t-18 (drum) axles used single row bearings...
correct..
in theory ( i dont know for sure)
but zenki ae86/ae85 drum brake rear end should have the same axel/bearing assembly as our local T18
zenki disc have a double row bearing and thus different axel to accomodate..
kouki disc bigger everything, double row bearing etc..
adm s series zenki drum, same axel ( near enough?) different bearing as T18 i havent actually done this yet but with a bearing change the t18 and adm s series axels look to be interchangeable
has someone tryed before ??
The TE71 and AE86 share almost every part of the rear axle assembly, including LSD, discs, drums, axles, brakes, tailshafts, axle housings, axle bearings etc... if they came with the T seires diff (not S series).
There are 2 main versions of the T series axle assembly. Disc and drum. And there are disc and drum specific axle housings, axles, axle bearings and brakes.
Consider 2 cars. TE71 (or TE72 "T-18 SE"), and the AE86 GT (JDM). Both have T series with drums. Both cars have the same wheel bearings.
Consider another 2 cars. TE71 GT, and AE86 GTV. Both have T series discs. Both cars have the same wheel bearings.
There is no difference in wheel bearings between early and late model AE86.
All cars with disc brakes (TE71, AE86) use wide double row axle bearings.
All cars with T series drum brakes (TE71, TE72, AE86) use single row axle bearings.

I always thought there was. But according to toyodiy partslist there is the same PN!
So the difference is just the axle spline size then?
Nice one Jonny
just wondering cause im unsure as you guys are, i got ae86 zenki disc brake rear end and i will need to replace seals and bearings like would any diff place be able to do it or would they say i need to order them from genuine toyota?
