Default The no time no skills project

Havent been able to get to a track for the last 6 months & have been wanting to freshen up the adm since I got it. Working long hours inc Saturdays & am not allowed to carry out any repairs at the Units I live in , tried & got the letters. So I planned to give it a go over Xmas, spent the first few days drinking piss so I decided to get the finger out yesterday. The missus wants to go away for a few days weather depending so this is going to be a quick one!!!!

This isnt going to be pretty, but I am not worried, have a minter at home already so just looking for a functional car so that when I do get time I can hit some tracks/sprints/skids what-ever.

Day 1: Fit rear axle which has been fully re-conditioned inc new TRD 4.788, fit TRD blues, didnt bother fitting the traction brackets as I am waiting on 4 links. Start on sound deadening.

Day 2: Finish sound deadening & strip back all the shitty flakey paint to see what lies beneath!!!

Day 3: Tomorrow, fcuk knows, as much as possible.

far out, not a bad effort for no skills.

Why is it stripped, are you painting it or is it at a shop or something?

Couldnt be having any rust in there so I stripped it back for a look, well impressed 1 hole in the back panel & some filler above the passenger side arch which I might cut out tomorrow, she needs a pull on the front chassis leg & a new slam panel but not until the engine goes bang or I do am upgrade etc. She needs a door or 2 & a bonnet but these will do for now.
Painting it at a Shop , Im going to chance priming it & then find someone who will paint is for a maximum of 2 cartons of piss.
Covered the dash the other day, $22 which includes enough to do another dash if you want it Fantapants, would be a bit harder it include the vents but well do-able, this took like 15mins.

    DAM. Good work!

If my car was running I would have been up there to help! Sucks about not being able to work on the car at the units, where are you working on it now?

You doing the work to it in toowoomba? If you can't find a painter give me a yell. Few of my mates are painters and will most likely do it for a carton or 2.
