    Default fuses in 86 engine bay


    TO REMOVE ADS, PLEASE
    REGISTER OR SIGN IN
    hey guys / gals,

    can someone tell me what these fuses are for

    the ones that are connected to the positive terminal on the battery

    all 3 please

    doesnt anyone have the cover that goes over the top of it
    to tell what they are?

    no i dont think it is

    if you have a look on most jdm 16v engine bays they will have it
    i just cant get a good picture to see what they are

    just had a squiz at mine for ya mate, unfortunately theres no markings/writing on the covers at all

    and i dont have enough light to follow the wires all the way to the source.

    edit: take one out and see what doesnt work?? they are high values so they're possibly even fuses for the whole system...

    from memory in my AE86, the one with the 60amp value goes to the back of my alternator with the black plug. The other fuse, i think that goes to the fuse box next to your battery.

    From your photo, the taped up wired that run just above your cam gears cover would lead to your alternator.
    Well atleast mine did.

    But like everyone said, follow the wires.

    im just missing the middle fuse thats all
    just need to find out what they are for and what amps they are

    i will take a wild guess and go

    one is alternator, one is starter and the other is accessories (goes to fuse box/es)

    30amp fuse from mem

    mine had one 60 amp and 2 X 30 amps.
