Delazy: your a dreamer. Order some massive cams for me.

hachi_dk: It is a stock standard AE86 waterpump.

Trev084: You are correct in this matter. May try that today.

Meanwhile, I get flak for using second hand bottles. Everything costs money.

    Default Gearbox

    This is gearbox No.1:
Standard T50 with the housings cleaned up and resealed with Toyota Red silicon, and new front and rear oil seals, new O rings on the speedo drive. New alloy washers on the plugs. Drain and fill plugs inspected and chucked out if rounded. (I don't like oil leaks). 4AG belhousing. TE72 clutch slave. New clutch fork rubber. TRD shifter. Regular GL-4 oil.

I have both the TRD leather knob and the stock plastic one. The plastic one is lighter and probably more suited to racing.

The speedo gears are 22:6 to suit the 4.3:1 final drive and 195/60R14 tyres. I also have 19:5 speedo gears which suit 4.3:1 final drive and 185/60R14 tyres. The AE86 in Japan could come with either, depending on tyres.

I have a second gearbox and a full set of new syncros, but I will only use them as needed because they cost money.

    Clutch:
I have a bunch of old clutches. I put in a 200mm flywheel with a second hand TRD 3 puck, but I have a feeling that will change soon.

Brandon swaps over the fuel line.

    Oil cooler:

The AE86 came with a oil cooler in America and Europe, and the 3 captive nuts are there in the chassis to mount it. Rather than drill holes, I have used the same nuts to mount my oil cooler. My cooler is from a AE92 (or AE95) of course, and the way I mounted it I didn't have to change the AE92 bracket too much. The correct oil lines are 10mm, but I figured 3/8" fuel hose works the best.

love the detail and the stockness very few people actually pay any attention to trying to get a job as factory as possible
