I have to use the original rod or a copy, because it has to fold away and be with the car at all times. I don't have mates standing around the car the whole time just waiting to hold the bonnet for me.
I always try to be good, thanks. Mum warned me about AC/DC stickers and SR20s. They are bad.

MY AE86 BUILD
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...read.php?t=229
A basic setup:
-AE86 struts shortened 40mm
-Cusco strut tops
-AJPS brackets
-RX7 calipers
-Civic discs, RDA slotted
-AE86 hubs
-new brake lines
Looks a bit second hand as the brakes were lent to a friend for 6 months.
Now I have a problem. The Volk-Rays 3 piece wheels I have will not fit with those brakes as is. I suspect many 14" 3 pieces wheels would hit those brakes as is. The bolts on the back of the rim hit the brake.
My options are to get longer studs and a 12mm spacer. Or get different wheels.
Anyone want to trade my Rays Engineering - Volk fin wheels? Same as used by TTA Group-A cars, except mine are 14" x 6-1/2".
15" versions go quite cheap on yahoo if you are a fin fiend
I run longer studs and 12mm spacer to get clearance with SSR's
as yours are 6.5's they shouldn't hassle your guards like my 8.5's
RokuSteady : Shakotan - Tsuraichi - Hippari - Onikyan : 神奈川 様式
where do you get longer studs from?
parts supplier.
'nice' products have them.
I think studs from a land cruiser of some description are 12mm longer than stock. or u can get 100mm Total length ones.
