That's a good tip thanks. I may play around with it.

I wouldnt worry about it too much Jonny, I tried running without it with the stock ecu and never ran it with the current ecu with no ill effect. I think it's only an issue when the throttle blades are allowed to close right up/ie: a reliance on the idle controller to feed air. But for us without an idle control it's fine.

That's my current inside picture. I used the standard interia light up the back. You never know when you need to spend a night in your Sprinter. I will change the 13" spare to a 14" shortly.

Fire extinguisher fitted. Just a pissy little one for "speed" events. Not for racing. But do you like my racing door handles?

I finished cutting all the plastics. Glove box and everything is fitted around the cage. I put the standard (cut) kick pannels back in place. I don't want to take out a bunch of wires with my boot.

So after a few weeks, I can relax my ban on cable ties and hose clamps.

What racing/bling gear do I need to install?

How did you get the brass to 'weld' to the alloy on the water outlet?

I wasnt aware it could be done?

It is a standard (non-Toyota) brass fitting with a tapered thread. I tapped a tapered thread into my water outlet. I screwed the fitting in with a bit of liquid sealant just to make sure.

The straight fitting in the top of the waterpump is alloy. I made it the perfect size for a press fit, smeared it with sealant (ThreeBond motorbike crankcase stuff) and used a socket and hammer to press it in.

PCV system is on all cars, but with the 16v 4A-GE it is a bit harder to see. A vent hose goes to the intake manifold, then a few ports inside the manifold make it hard to see, but I'm sure it's all there if you look. There should be a vent port before the throttle, and a port to the plenum via a valve.
