Thanks for that Frak, I will get the TRD blues for the front at least. Still playing with my Koni yellows on the rear.

I fitted the AJPS rear "traction" brackets. Being so fussy about bolts, I chose new Toyota ones. I have a thing about wanting to use a 17mm spanner on a M12x1.25 bolt. Most think I'm crazy, it's hard to buy these bolts elsewhere.

    90179-12025 M12x1.25 nuts
    90119-12131 M12x1.25 bolts L=82 (as found on a RAV4 etc.)

Without the brackets, the lower arm pivots were at 188mm and 197mm from the ground. With the diff housing point at 197mm, the arm was on the wrong angle and caused axle tramp. My shocks were too soft, but the rear traction was shocking.

With the brackets, the lower arm pivots are at 188mm and 143mm. Now the arm points the other way. I adjusted the shocks 1/2 a turn stiffer than soft and the result is very good. I can now hold a burnout without tramp. But the ride is also far better on a rough road, which would allow me to go faster.

My ride height is 170mm to the seam, a little higher than most would run for looks.

I dont know if you know jonny but this your car is my ultimate wish. It does everything and looks good in the sun. Im going to try something with my new 86, probably set it up for gravel rally though, but on the same principal.

Any chance i could see your adapt map?

Thanks for that Biggo. Here she is again, dirty, looking very ordinary. But performance has improved literally every day for the last 3 months. Mostly they are ECU software changes via the laptop.

I am running an old Adaptronic. Countless hours have been spent with it now. If I was working as a "tuner" I would probably not give up my maps (or maybe I would, not sure). I am currently working as a mechanic at the Toyota dealership so I have nothing to loose by giving away good maps. Maybe... For $50 I can send my ECU file to run a 20v silvertop sweet. Don't get me started about every engine being different. It's just an offer which would be more than a good start.

I will show some ECU maps and stuff in the following days.

This shows the first time I was on the dyno a few months ago. Just a power run (throttles open), no tuning was done. I had only began to tune it on the road and my O2 sensor was not working right. The car was very drivable, but not fast at all.

Engine speed is derived from road speed, so I don't know if it's right. Peak power shows 82.4kw, and I think maybe the next run was 2kw more due to warmer fluids. The AFR is very rich so more power is to be gained.

This is my fuel map from that run. It's too rich.

I later fixed my wideband setup (which turned out to be a rusty cigarete lighter connection) and retuned. The car was immediately faster, felt like 20% more power.

This is the ignition map from that run. It's too conservative for a 20v. More advance can be used.

Lots of clips you can still get, and they seam to fit well.

I got pollished aluminium air horns to replace the stock plastic ones. I feel they gave a bit more power but they certainly sound different. I found later that the 4th one hits the booster, only under load.

92.8kw. AFR is a bit lean, aiming for 12.5:1. Ignition is advanced and played with a bit from last dyno run, up to about 37 degrees.
