I think its because jonny is in tasmania he want more fuel because the air is so dense it can freeze a turd in the time it akes to exit your poo chute and hit the water.
But really isnt 13:1 good enough?
i thought you would want the afr to be more like 14:1 or am i thinking of something else? Also have you got my email address? Cos i haven't got those maps yet
I will have to have a play with it on the lap top and see how i go, i feel i should really get a wideband for my car.
Oh and apparently there is a dyno day on saturday at gt garage, i was thinking of heading along, possibly a mates newly turboed vl or his big nissan patrol going on the dyno, also another mates suzuki sierra with a supercharged jimny motor in it may get a go haha

have you got a spacer under the gearbox mount? i had the same thing then fitted my spacer that i had with my rs chita kit. instant fix
I have a spacer on the gearbox mount. It is just a few washers. It works to give a bit more space for the heater hoses which are touching the crank angle sensor cover.
I am led to believe 12.5:1 is a good fuel ratio to aim for, for best power under load. At idle you aim closer to 14.7:1, and 15:1 is fine for light cruise. However with only the TPS for load, the mixtures are not so stable, and are often a bit different between driving up hill and driving down hill, even at the same load point in the graph. This is why a TPS + MAP tune would give better ecconomy.
Baskerville Hillclimb, 8 August 2010.
Waiting in line. About 64 cars all up.
Mark Roges car and mine. Mark beat everything at the event except for one small openwheeler.
My times were not impressive. I struggled with understeer on used street tyres, the Hondas in my class had semi-slicks. But I got it to rev heaps and even blew the odd flame.
Results are found here:
A few goodies before the next hillclimb.
-Toyo R888 semi-slick tyres. 185/60R14
-KYB AGX front shocks
-TRD LSD diff centre, 1.5-way
Also I had taken the passanger seat out. I think the car is close to 900kg with 1/4 tank of fuel. Passanger seat and harness was 13.8kg. Car was 921kg with passanger seat and full tank of fuel.
I will also lower the car a bit. Also trying to get hold of a front lip. All for looks I guess.
I will try and do some laps at Baskerville with those tyres shortly, just so see what time is possible, and to find what I think the limiting factor fo the car is with that setup.
your shocks have been dispatched
i have a front lip here...
tis a sad day
