oh shit that is a very sad end to a special build. Hope Jonny is ok.
i doubt this will be the end... jonnys a jet, that being said. i see a reshell in the near future
Yep, I rolled it.
The event was the CMI Domain Hill Climb, a favorite event of many in Hobart and I had been looking forward to doing it for years. Just never seamed to have a car going at the right time.
It uses a short section of narrow bumpy road that goes up to a lookout in Hobart. It's only about 900m long, and an average run is about 42seconds.
We started at 9:00 in the morning, and my first was at about 9:30am.
Car setup: (yes, I love lists)
Toyo R888 tyres (cold)
KYB AGX shocks
no passanger seat, car is ~900kg
weld in rollcage ~CAMS spec
6 point 3" harness
1pc fibreglass seat
rev limit set to 9000rpm
plan to use 1st and 2nd gear only
plan to drive at 80% for the first run
In short, the car was awesome but forgot the above and drove at 101%.
holy fuck man, hope your all right. so sorry bout the car. was a great piece of work! good luck all the best.
