Default ST141 disk diff hbrake cables

    Car - 86

    motor - 20v

    use - daily/pig

    problem - h-brake cables

personal situation - I want to buy ST141 disk brake setup to put on my t series.
now, with the setup, i dont get any h-brake cables so i want to know if i can use my original t series disk rear cables or do i need ST141 disk cables?
also, can you even buy ST141 cables new? or are they obsolete?

    cheers guys!

Use ST141 handbrake cables (well the rear part of them at least). For the front part (where it joins to one) use can use your stock one with a spacer or find a suitable shorter one to suit. I think SW11 Camry is shorter but not short enough, while ST162 is shorter again. Parrot made a good post regarding fron cable lengths on Toymods.

And a wrecker is your friend.

NB - Just saw you have a disk T series diff. No idea what those handbrake cables are like. But the ST141 brake setup will NOT bolt to a disc T series housing. The mount holes are in the wrong spots (disc = funny shape, drum = rectangular).

i see, lucky i have a spare t 18 (drum) so i will just convert that to disk with the st141 setup and run my LSD n what not in that.
-might just take my old cables (off the t series) + the converted diff to some joint that can make me up a cable and they can figure out the rest!

    cheers for the help hen.

Save yourself a couple of hundred dollars and get ST141 rear cables and (I think as mentioned above) an ST162 front section from Pick-a-part for $20. Bolt it up and go do skids.

also hen, it is possible to mount the st141 disk setup onto a JDM diff with the weird housing pattern, you just have to drill through the drum brake carrier? (that has the rectangle design) as there is enough meat in it to drill 4 new (weird pattern) holes without drilling partially through one of the other 4 original ones.
im going to a brake joint for them to drill the new holes for me so i dont stuff it up.
and its also possible to mount the jdm disk brake setup onto a t18 diff, again, just need to redrill for the 4 holes!
ill post pics of the st141 setup on my jdm diff soon.
