goldies gear went into my old car.. same exhaust as ant had, was 2.5 straight no cat to 1 muffler, this vid the muffler is fucked, was VERY loud

id say 2.5 with resi and 1 muffler should be fine for noise

When you balance the throttles hold them open with a piece of welding wire down each throttle body which holds them open just enough to ensure they open evenly together.

pat are you running a after market oil cooler ,as i just run the std heat oil exchanger from the factory with a mechanical oil temp in the sump and sits on about 50 to 70 around town and 70 to 100 on track running
on exhaust i run 3 inch from the extractors back

on the throttles buy a carby balancer to set them up use no 2 to get idle then balance 1 and 2 together then balance the center pull with 3 and 4

yeah its an aftermarket job. MAIN reason im using it is sad really, but i didnt think my engine placement through THAT well and while the oil filter fits, the only way to get it on and off is to lift the engine

is all in and running right now, fixed the cooler and now just need to play with exhaust and she is driving again.

yeah...... i thought i was going to be real clever, sorted the exhaust by shortening the old section till i get around to having a proper nice system done. but clearly im not as talented as i thought lol, cant get the flanges to bolt flush to each other so it leaks badly

and the engine squeels like a motherfucking banshee like REALLY screams. sounds like its coming from the timing belt. its weird cos it only does it on idle or throttle off, but not when throttle is applied.my own lazy fault, should have done timing belt as a matter of course anyways

but seems all electrics are working well, so its really only brakes and put the interior in, sort the squeel and i can drive it somewhere for an exhaust.

bonnett is almost finished too happy with that. my bonnett clips turned up today, but it turns out i ordered the ones without a lock, my own fault

have run out of enthusiams for now to paint it nice, so probably be a quick two days with rattle cans.

    or just leave it doggeared
