ok car is practically ready to run again just fiddly lil shit left to do.

me installing my first flywheel and clutch...



also cleaned and assembled the shifting mechanism... another thing i never knew how it worked used a brand new slave for peice of mind, and new bearing



gratuitous awesomness again...



had to manipulate the position of the remote resevoir as the trumpet of the last cylinder was in the way...





im sure thisll start some hating, but i recon its the tits!!!!....



a thinly veiled excuse "the cam cover needs room" was enough for me to give it a crack. its half fittind now and will be a pretty rough job i recon, but still looked grouse as when i threw it on this arv for giggles

Fitted my shortened tailshaft, so effectively the engine and gearbox is ready to go in terms of position and oils, ordered radiator, so then the rest of the fluids are good to go in.

all thats left is brakes, some wiring and she is win

well besides the fact that she is rubbed back for a painting i cant be fucked giving her

i probably missed it at some point but what clutch/flywheel/bellhousing are you using?

complete trd clutch for altezza... single mass flywheel

the bell is a 3y

you looking at beams for yours? how did you go on the rules clarification for firewalls? i recon you would have to run it forward and without the cam cover if your not allowed to mod the firewall. That would also mean a custom sway bar. and you would have to get the w series with the rear most position.

im sure you could do a better job at it than me but if you need any pics or measurements taken let me know

clutch boys looked at it for me.... recon there was enough meet to get by, or they could redo it for me...

figured id do it when i need it lol.... and i was trying to get it finished

aim is for firing sunday the helpers are in and the gearbox is finished.... my own stupid fault but i hadnt done up the six bolts on the shifter housing.... used that to fill oil buut then couldnt get a spanner to it... but all sorted now.

wiring looks good in the bay, fairly minimal, want to move the battry to really clean it up, but later

trying to talk anna into letting me use the "family car" money as an offer on beaus and sell mine to get a towie she isnt keen

needs glassing and a tidy up, and i need a second brace for the oil cooler... i know the bonnet wont be to most peoples taste but i dig it.

thanks to bealy fr the suggestion, kinda, iv gone r33 brakes to give the caliper extra distance from the wheel hub. Getting the rotors redrilled this monday coming, so will find out if it works or still needs a small slip on spacer to clear.

car LITTERALLY only needs to radiator hoses and small amount of wiring to go.... too cracked from work and spending too much on chrissy to get it finished....

thanks to eanen for the motivation the other week... got more done in an arv than in a month
