Do the other 3sge versions have a 1 piece sump like the 4a engines do?

could that be swapped over or are the castings different on the bottom of the block? the only problem i can forsee if they do swapover is that because they are meant for a FWD application the angles will be wrong to clear teh crossmember etc.

can be swapped i believe, check the build thread by biggo, he is using 2s pickup and sump on his gen 2 i think?

would be worth the loss of baffling etc etc imo

soooo... in other news, kicked on with wiring, got it all finished... and thought i would check out bits of my wiring changes.

everything seemed good and went to kick the engine over - not start just wanted to check the starter would turn it over and that everything was doing as i expected.

a small delay as i went to get fuses i had forgotten... should have seen the headscratching till i figured THAT out ... and off we went. Engine kicked over half a dozen times, switched it off to run around and be really impressed with myself, got the mrs to show off again, even rang old mate to show off.... and then all it did was tick. just tick tick tick tick tick etc.

and since then , the lights haave gone to shit. one of the rear tail lights wont turn off at all, and the blinker wont work, the thing in the car just rattles and makes a noise like its shorting... too tired to try and sort it out now but its about to crack me lol

i removed the fuses from my wiring set up to see if i could eliminate the problem, but it was still the same ... :$thanks for reading guuys

have you changed any of the body loom since the engine change? how is it connected into the new motor now and have you wired any of the new ecu wiring into the body loom or are they still seperate from each other?

the ONLY body loom change is from the alt, instead of joining the signal and lamp light, i ran them seperate to the pins....

the blinkers worked before i started the engine - when i plugged the battery in the hazzards were on and working fine ....

    thanks for the support guys

gave up for the night and started doing shit i know - mglueing up my new race wheels
