Default My second car, twin carb 200B.

This is my 1977 Datsun 200B (810 Bluebird). It's one of the first 200Bs and as such it's the rare IRS model (most 200Bs in Oz had borg warner live axles) with an R160 diff. I use it as my second car (I daily both my cars), it's fun in an old school way and fairly torquey now that I've put the twin carbs etc on it.
This picture is how it sits now, but below is a quick run through my build over the year that I've owned the car.

I copy pasted this from another forum I post in

So that was the first part when I first got the car till i'd owned it for a few months, then after a few more months I started doing some more work on it.

After all this the car is quite good. Torquey, reliable and it hasn't cost me the earth. I'm not sure where to go with it next, repair the minor amount of rust it has (mainly in the bonnet), respray and a Mk1 golf front lip, or perhaps think about selling it and moving onto another secondary car to play with. I dunno...

Yeah, my S12 was my first heavily modified car (I did minor mods to the two cars I had before that). I bought it stock with a blown CA20E and converted everything....I think i built that car....8 years ago? Maybe more now, I forget!
    S13 SR20DET and box
    IRS conversion
    Long nose R200 2 way
    Z31 turbo axles
    MA70 intercooler
    S13 front suspension
    S14 brakes
    etc etc

Most people remember it for the blue fur interior!

Good learning experience . That car still exists, it's up in QLD 3 owners on now.

And of course I have my Silver S13 which I've had for about 5 years now.

In one of my random moments I'm considering finding a rough as guts AE86 to play with though....

Glad you all seem to like the 810 though, I'm pretty happy with how it sits. Actually, i'd just put it on the ground in that pic up there after fitting new front tyres (can see the stickers on them still haha) so i think it sits about 10mm lower in real life.

    I'd like to.
Depends on whether I can find a cheap enough donor.
Idealy a rough car that other people are wary of haha. Basic neat mods and then use that for drifting instead of my Silvia sometimes. Get my skills up a bit more.
