I drive an ae86 because takumi had one. Maybe if he drove a ke70 this site would be called ke70drivingclub

I also drive an 86 for initial D factor. Sometimes I sing to myself while driving

Blast my desire, break off the barrier
Wake me out of my sleeping dream (The skills to tear you up)
Blast my desire, stronger than fire
A risky tune that shakes the ages (Break what you wanna break)

There is no way i could sing something that cool in any other car.

You can really read to much into things Sam, what was it that I was originally suggesting?? Because as far as I can read I only asked the question in relation to corner weights and if anyone had actually done some splits before.
I can borrow a set and might do so, might get Mark's 86 and my 71 and see what it comes up with.

    Jake.
    I got nothing.

ah sorry I thought you originally posted a rhetorical question suggesting that the ke70 was inferior for balance or something. I can do some corner weighting, I will do it on my own car soon enough.

So Sam, how do you think they would go?
I'm thinking it would be very interesting as to which way it would go? Not saying I have money on it going one way or the other but it would be sure to raise some eyebrows.
    I got nothing.

I also have a AE86 because of Takumi, and it looks better. But the AE71 is better mostly because the front doors are shorter making it easier to get in and out of. And the back doors make it much easier to get to the battery or anything you got back there.

ill be honest, i got a ke70 cause i couldnt afford an 86.

the 86/70 was appealing because of its ease of modification, and i felt that "this is something that i could achieve". i looked into nissans (s13 etc) but mods were considerably more expensive (so it seemed). not to mention the inital capital required for nissans.

when i first got my car my thoughts were "i can afford to buy an 86, but prolly not modify it, but i could afford to buy and modify a ke70".

i wanted a project car to keep me amused, but i had no capital to buy an 86.

pluss my best mate just got an 86, so i didn't want to have the same, but i could still steal his wheels
