Hi guys im new here, just aquired an 84 AE71 which i intend to turn into a drifter to have a bit of fun with. Planning on putting in SR20DET and 5 speed. Probably be asking alot of questions as i get further into the project as i havent ever owned a toyota and am keen to start doing it up. Ill keep posting new pics up as i get new things completed.

So i started stripping the car out today, took everything else out except for the dash which may have to wait till next weekend. I also took off the badges, bumpers and side strips. Hopefully soon ill start working on the body work and look into getting a cheap respray for it too. Oh and got a mate coming around one day soon to help me roll the arches so hopefully that works out well.

And a celebratory drink for starting work on the car!!!

Hi guys another quick update on my progress, got my hands on some parts from a good mate of mine over the weekend

    S14 SR20DET

Box full of goodies, basically everything i need for the motor including a very strange looking gold plated inlet manifold, looks useless though.

Some wheels which im gonna polish up and paint, there nothing special but its a start lol

And finally a manual pedal box from a KE70, its a cable type one but a friend and i are gonna strengthen it and convert it to run a toyota hiace master with a remote reservoir.
