Question drift set up, what is yours and where to start.

ok s I was going to do a sr conversion but have recently chosen to stick to my 4AGE for the time being. my 86 has had the suspension all done and sorted but i want to get into drifting just to give it a go I am planing on keeping the car on the road so it dose need to be RW to some degree. my build idea is this as of so far.

t sereas diff and assorted parts to go with it. TRD 1.5 way LSD. oil cooler kit, more bracing, quad throttle bodies, rocker stoppers, TRD head gasket, replace water pump with NEW item, and at some point a cage.

the car is modded to a 2 seater so i can run one, sound deadening is removed and n AC. is there anything i Have forgoten or that i should add to this list or am i about spot on. ?????? if this has been done to death i am sorry for asking agen. chears.

    necessary parts:

2way preferably with T18 drums (atleast the handbrake will work then)
    P/S arms
    Good front tyres
    8/6 springs with good shocks
Make sure the radiators up to the task
oh and a bucket seat is a must

    Thats the basics.

If your going to open up the engine you may aswell give the head a recon. Why the TRD head gasket? I run a modded head and block with a stock gasket, atleast it'l be the first thing to go if it over heats.

do springs and shocks first, swaybars next, then camber tops, p/s arms, adj panhard. then if u want more add lca's, quick rack, 4 link.

but realy you should have an ok setup with just springs, shocks and swaybars

start with the $100 combo (falcon springs and sierra shocks) and a locker

you'll learn quickly what you need, you'll get confidence, but mainly if you stack it into a gutter its not going to bend expensive parts.

stick that out as much as you can, then buy some good stuff.

TRD headgasket bumps up compresion yeah??

Anyways, a basic set-up to have some fun isn't that hardcore to do....have a hit on a track standard and go from there it will give you an idea of what needs changing..

EG. to much body roll (change springs and shocks to start with), single spins (lock it) and so on. over time you will learn about the car and wil understand everything.

I have all the suspension done i got coil over's up front and unknowan at the back its solid as hell and i got the front and rear strut braces. the TRD head gasket quolity and i would rather pay for it not and bump up compresion than replace agen later. and rocker stoppers as added safety for the head. i was more asking for funny things that I would not have thought of as of yet. I didn't think of the PS arms i forot about that and i was thinking of using carona controll arms as a added.
