    Default Turbo 20V AE86

    Very interesting reading all the details on everyones cars, so i thought id put mine on here...

    Here goes:

    Engine:
    20v Silvertop
    540cc sard injectors
    forged flat top pistons
    kkr280 turbo
    massive radiator
    front mount
    3" exhaust

    Gbox:
    at the moment t50

    Diff:
    JDM disc-disc

    Suspension:
    JJR Coilovers
    front strut brace

    Made it into Fast Fours Yearbook for 08 if anybody got it...

    Have had it tuned since then...eventually
    making 188rwkw at 7500rpm...has boost problems, starts to regulate for about 500rpm but the wastegate is too small and boost slowly creeps up eventually to 12psi. i am just about to pull the engine out again, give it a freshen up, put in a w58 box and may aswell mount a 38mm external gate while im at it, DAT thinks that it should be good for 220rwkw at 16psi...hope those japanese made those diff strong...guess we will find out.

    correct, a little scary, you obviously know how light these cars are...i wasn't expecting that much power, i would have been happy with around 200hpatw, let alone 250...fun to drive though, havent pushed it hard yet, im still getting used to it

    not many people do, putting that sorta power in an s13 is scary, a car 200kg less makes it a little more fun.

    will have to get a vid of acceleration for ya...reached the 190 at the end of the sprinter speedo pretty quickly

    hi, did you ever boost it without the forgies in there?
    if so...was the engine alright or did it die?

    i am wanting to supercharge my 20v with stock internals thats why i'm asking

    yes i did, it lasted about 2 laps round the block before blowing the ringlans off the pistons...i did hit about 17psi though...beau yates was running his blacktop turbo with stock internals, i wouldn't run any more than 6-7psi though.
