+1 ...totally agree
keep it simple and sleek... decent engine, gbox, suspension/handling setup...good combination of these things can create a legendary vehicle...
and also keep it affordable!!

I know where I'm going and I know the truth, and I don't have to be what you want me to be. I'm free to be what I want.

The lights look like a homage to redlines
Why is everyone talking about what this car looks like? Who cares? The concept is a light weight, well balance RWD sports coupe. It it supposed to be affordable (even at 40k it is). It needs to be a good overall package for the money like the ae86, and it will be. I wouldve have bought one before they even release the concept photos. It is just the perfect concept for a daily driver. Mod cons, lightweight, respectable power, no doubt agility, balance and of course rear wheel drive. Not to mention how brilliant the subaru gearbox feels and those boxers just love to rev. The will sell millions of these things.
+ Not as easy to defect either, unless you add a million lows. I mean it can look good and still be hard to defect.
I thought the target weight was 1000kgs. That is very light for a modern car.
I was clearly exaggerating, if they sold millions who would want one... it would be like owning a ford focus.
Unfortunately the concept has apparently shied away from the lightweight concept.
Its now gonna weigh more to accommodate more frills, therefore rubbing out more thrills.
Tho the (subjective) plus to it all is it will now definitely be turbocharged.
No word on if Toyota will commit to a lightweight version ala Porsche GT2.
