    Default best suspension combo

    hi all,
before i get burnt i have researched and looked through multiple xE7x threads to find the right way to go but still cant make up my mind. anyways

i have a KE70 and a 4AGE smallport i am rebuilding for turbo i am going to set up the KE for drift.
i bought a full ADM 4AC sprinter K-frame, struts, brakes and steering rack
    i was thinking:
    AE86 brakes (then RX7 upgrade)
AE86 based HSD coilover kit + 8Kg Springs
KYB Exel G Short stroke inserts
    Cusco Cambertops
    AJPS Lock Spacers
    MX62 24mm front Swaybar
    XT130 LCAS

    XT130 Tie Rod Ends

i am unsure if i should run the 86 or the 70 steering rack?
what is the difference in lock between 86 non and powersteering arms?
is there any other cheaper/easier to find alternative if there is a big difference?
will I get 2.5 to 3 degrees neg camber with the camber tops and XT130 LCAs?
will i be able to fit 15x8 -4 on the front (with guard pump/flare) with this setup?

    thanks heaps

ae86 non pw/s arms are 135mm while pw/s arms are 115mm ball joint to tie rod hole.
the shorter the arm, the heavier* the steering becomes but more responsive.

    * the steering wont be that heavy with standard pw/s arms, but when you get knuckles that are about 85mm, without powersteering your steering will be pretty heavy, especially at low speeds.

i have sigma arms and i have just barely fit 15x8 -4 so u should be ok with fitting them. u will easily get that amount of camber with the camber tops.
spend a lil more and get agx inserts, and possibly go 7kg springs, i think 8kg is too heavy for such a light and kinda weak car. i have the rx7 brakes up front and they work awesome!
also if u want lock then get some JDI steering arms, they r slightly shorter than PS arms and have akerman correction for drift. i have them and a lock spacer and it gives epic lock, which in turn gives epic angle!

and i think the 86 rack has 2 extra teeth than an E7 rack so slightly more lock again.

also put a larger rear sway bar on your list if you want to drift

hey hachi, u have to send your pair of standard arms, either e7 or ae86 and he mods them, they r a cut n shut style but done very well, they r 10mm i think shorter than PS arms. they r the same specs as shinjis ones im pretty sure.

    thanks all,
    I have a 17mm tercel rear swaybar
i will use AE86 steering rack + JDI custom steering arms and AGX shocks.
i was going to go 8kg fr and 6kg rr springs because its not going to be a daily driver.
if i go a 7kg front what rate rear do i go, 5kg maybe?
roughly what was the price on the custom arms, and i hand over the ae86 arms?
was it JDI engineering at hoppers crossing?
    cheers

Usually go about 4.5kg rear with 7kg. Yeh he mods your arms. They r about $120 I think. It's Jdi fabrication. Number is 0421 427 898

if your going turbo go 8f and 5r its what i have and its awesome, i had 6kgs and it was good but i find i can pick up speed out of a corner quicker with the softer rear.
8kg isnt too stiff either though it does depend alot on driving style.

many guys run 8/6 on the street, having ackerman correction is not essential - i could bet you wouldnt be able to tell the difference, it stops the inner wheel "draging" through the corner.
