The only reason you would want a rwd pump is if you would rather pump a fair amount of coin into the hands of people who sell them.

There is no need to bother, just use the cheaper and commonly available fwd pulley and alternator system that the motor has and save your pennies for more important mods. I think the charger will interfere with the rwd arrangement anyhow.

The only reason a rwd waterpump sticks further forward is to allow the use of a clutch fan, so just use a thermofan like you should anyhow.

incorrect, it sticks further forward as there's 2 bearings over the original 1 for a fwd, though really if you are running thermos, there's won't be much weight on the actual pulley so the single bearing will be fine

Why do you think its got 2 bearings, so that you can use a clutch fan without it failing. Why else would it?

you made it out to say they both had a similar design except the other one was only longer to aid the clutch fan, you didn't mention it having a second bearing...

Im using a jap made replacement rwd pump on my gze (GMB). Same price as fwd, around 70-80 for the front half. You do need a rwd pulley due to the different offset.

I run a clutch fan on my gze as its neater and simpler, and I use it with a standard full radiator shroud.
