Hey, yeah, I haven't been on here either - probably time for an update. It was pretty nice for a brief moment. Drove it for a few weeks, did a car show and a couple of track days. Looked stunning and the engine felt great, but was smoking badly. Burned oil at a great rate. Spun a bearing and seized in November and hasn't moved since. Over Christmas, rats got into it and ate the seats, carpet and shredded all the modplate and rego paperwork in the glovebox and used it to make a nest amongst the ecu wiring. Pissed and shat all over everything they didn't eat and left the engine bay full of dead toads and garbage. Then the interior all went rotten and mouldy in the humidity and I cannibalised it for parts to keep my coupe going.

So its trashed basically and I was pretty upset about it for a while and didn't want to look at it. Probably time to get stuck back into it, rebuild the engine and get some new suspension for it.

Thats a shame, seems like that white coupe is cursed, even its parts cant catch a break lol. Would love to get back into an 86 one day but I bought a toy at the end of last year so happy playing with it for now.

This is why we can't have nice things

    Dust and gecko shit

    Cannibalised for parts

    Mouldy leather

Super mouldy gear stick and trim - brown in colour. New species?

Rat nest I pulled out from behind the ecu - modplate documents, receipts etc, plus the backing off the firewall matting, all shredded and soaked in piss

    Mud wasps everywhere

    Junk storage and gnawed seats

Photos don't capture the smell, but its not a place you'd want to sit.

So yeah, if you've got a nice car, don't bring it to the tropics.
