Smile water pump/ water pump pulley

hey all, i have a jdm rwd 4age bigport in my ke70. Just before i bought the motor it was rebuilt, since then i have pulled the water pump pulley off to fine 6 washers on each stud to space the pulley out, if the washers aren't on the pulley rubs hard up against the cover and the belt doesn't line up... According to the pictures below i have a rwd pump as mine has the thermostat housing in the pump and a rwd pulley, so if anyone has any ideas could you let me know?

    Cheers Wade

I think you've got the front half of a fwd pump bolted to the rear half of a 4age/4ac one (the rears are the same)

put a pic up of your actual setup.

The other point to note is that fwd pumps aren't meant to have a clutch fan bolted to them or the bearing shits itself, you didn't mention whether or not you had one, but I thought i'd put it up anyway.

Yep, running a fwd pulley would fix it. But you really would want a rwd water pump if running a clutch fan.
