headers look like they'll be fun to make engine is sitting real low in there and i've seen s13 crossmembers in ke's before and thought they sit very low so just wondering if there'll be any problems with sump to ground clearance?

also with the gearbox was it just the small mod up the front of the tunnel to get it to fit?

    Cheers

Yep sump is a tiny bit lower than the crossmember so it'll prob see a couple of dents in its life. Hopefully nothing more.

Yeh steering column was fun. It went straight in front of the rear exhaust port and only about 40mm away from it so he moved the column down on the bracket and rotated the steering rack to face backwards more. The hilux we put a 1UZ in was much worse than that for header clearance.

Yeh cut and bashed the front of the tunnel and a little bit of bashing out ways to fit the back of the gearbox in too.

with my last ke it had s13 x member, rack and LCAs etc, i binned the s13 LCAs in favour of some R31 ones, bought the camber back to around 3-4 with the s13s it looked like 6 plus
that said you blokes will prob re-drill everything and make it sit mint!
i'm not sure a normal ae86 panhard will clear a hilux diff housing, they are a fair bit bigger also
but once again you'll prob work everything.
i feel i've just wasted a lot of time using my fingers to type all this!!
will be an ideal bus once done

its looking good from what i can see

im using the T56 box instead but im using the hilux diff like you, locked for drift goodness ...

so far ive spent about $3120 and ive got the shell, box, adapter plate for said box, celsior front cut, diff and some exhaust manifold flanges...

WOW you've done very well. Did you steal them?

LOL @ big budget. All we have is car ($600) and engine/gearbox package ($3500) at the moment. The car's at a stand-still until he sells one or both of the cars he has for sale.
