ok, see the lower red arrow, you have to make sure that port is blocked up, i think i can see that it is, but just make sure.

see the top red arrow pointing down. if you look in that hole, there is a flat head screw, turn this screw CLOCKWISE and see if the idle drops down, if it does, just adjust it to suit, and you are done.

Try the vacuum line that is joining the two ports on the top of the throttle body pretty sure they should be blocked individally not linked together, some people leave it how yours is but they push a ball bearing into the line to block it off so it cant leak between the two.

Also check your water lines are hooked up from the metal lines on the side of the block near the water pump to the bottom of the throttle body, this controlls cold air bleed and should drop the idle by around 500 rpm when it warms up.

i agree with the line on the top of the throttle body, crimp or block it and check if it makes a difference

Hey mate i had the same problem when i brought my ke70 with a 4age conversion. The cold start fails and lets to much air past the butterfly and causes high idle because mine is a track car i didnt worry about keeping the cold start. a way to check this is when the car is warm block the hole for the cold start in the throttle body with your finger ,if the cold start is stuck open when you block it the revs with drop or even stall.

block the large hole at the bottom

cold start removed and plated over

hey guys been a while i haven't posted i removed the oil catch can and put the proper vacuum line to the rocker. Also i am blocking each vacuum line by buying proper vacuum caps i have tried tat screw on the top on the throttle and it wont drop down keeps on raising so i wouldn't think that is it.

next i will be trying is to block the hole in the throttle as jman_ke70 has explained and hope that does drop my idle down and will check the water lines would anyone have a diagram of how the waterlines are meant to be ?

    cheers slighten

i just did a tester of making up some vacuum lines and blocking them with a bolt on the top 2 on the throttle and got some real good progress
at idle i am getting 1000 rpm once reeved and driven around the block i got 1300 rpm.

but once i turn the car on and off it will stay at 1000 reeves.

try some carby cleaner in the throttle butterfly. It sounds like its getting a bit sticky.
