    Default ecko's Drift Pig Ma61

So as many will know of hazkell's old car here is his old thread

as hazkells has decided to move on with his priorities etc and as the car wasnt running he sold it to my mate will, we picked er up from launnie and brought it back to hobart

basically i fell in love with the car from day 1 and after continuous begging i convinced will to sell it to me.

So this is now mine ,

Mods as far as i know are as follows

    Ma61
7mgte mostly standard with full rebuild with around 10,000kms
JJR oil cooler kit with remote filter (z9)
    front mount
massive 4wd radiator of unknown origin
    12" thermo fan
    boost controller
    side exit zaust
    haltech e6x
    excedy HD clutch standard w55

    tuned to 180rwkw

    supension is afaik
    Commodore shocks
    king lows for ma61
    whiteline swaybars front and rear
    welded diff

interior stripped with no sound deadening
fix back race seat on standard rails
fuel system is external bosch 044 with 3L surge tank in custom enclosure
    pics from day 1

    Day 2

after some testing we found internal fuel pump wasnt working so
$117 later new pump was in and after priming a few times she runs, and perfectly too
engine is very tight and idles great,

took it for a few test drives to find as hazkell had advised rear subframe was very worn and diff was moving around in carrier, more on this on day 3 but i love the car it pulls really well and runs like a dream, cant wait to have it on track,

    planned mods are

Front end replace with mx83 shocks and brakes with bc coilovers
    t3 RCA's
    Camber tops (ae86 or s13)
    T3 modified ae86 steering arms
    rear ms123 crown hubs (purchased)
repace fuel setup with braided lines
replaced seat rail with lower rail and a nicer seat
maybe look at upgrading ecu to more tunable setup
    down the track 1jz conversion

    day 3

so jumped under the rear end to find the diff assembly suspiciously loose,

so out it came to find this

you may notice a difference in sizes for the bolt holes or maybe some missing?

the rear diff carrier was also the same and the front carrier holes where all slotted from the movement,

old bushes seem to be to blame as the ole one were rooted,
so in wnet all new superpro bushes
    Rear suframe
controls arms and lower shock bushes all replaced
the car also came with some strange camber adjusting tabs/bolts so these were welded onto the subframe

also heres a pic of the fuel setup

so hopefully by tues night i should have the rearr all back together,

im getting the car ready for the tas drift series round 1 on march 6th hopefully im ready by then

atm list of things to do

    Bolt in rear subframe
bleed all brakes and replace front brake pads,
clean up engine bay and mount ps resovoir properly,
change coolant to toyota red with redline water wetter and instal 82 degree thermostat
start prepping for paint, Matt black again of course
and a quick check of the tune

also need ot organise wheels and tyres, front i think are sorted going to run 15x8 -25 black sunraisers and rear will be anything i can find

more updates to come through out the week

Which ones? I went through so many.

8/6 rate is fine, I would personally run a 9 in the front with a 6 banger.

pics of the camber tabs seems to be working now

not much happening atm just parts hording

    Got
    52mm ASI S13 Radiator
    AU falcom Thermo fans
Front Ra60 struts converted to coilovers, no springs or shocks yet
    new wheel bearings for fronts
Got ms123 rear 5 stud hubs but probly wont end up using them
Got speco Boost gauge, water and oil temp gauges
buddy club water temp sensor adapter

only work happended recently is really removed all shocks and springs which are sold,
and removed all a/c and heater parts
just working with gauges atm whilst radiator mounts are being made up,

Front facing manifold wont be happening anytime soon,
any one got any pics or idea for a good IC piping setup to reduce intake temps?

ordered these yesterday should arrive in around 3 weeks
kyb agx fronts are sw20 rear shocks
    rear are ford focus

soo much cheaper to buy from the usa,

bought myself a kit and a mate bought a kit too costing about $550 a set delivered, which is the same as one front pair from most aussie dealers,

also my custom king springs came in yesterday,
Got King low ma61 rear springs reset to 6kg and 10mm lower should get the rear at a good height and lose some of that camber
