Gates- T811 originally intended for a Lada Samara (Russian vehicle)
Car - hachi-goku
motor - ST 20v
use - herding sheep
problem - need to change the timing belt.
occurs/started when - went into burson and they couldnt find a belt or part number
personal situation - 13568-16030 is the genuine part number for the ST 20v timing belt number but since its useless (to the noobs at bursons/repco) i need a number of a bosch or similar belt that will fit a ST20v!
cheers.
Filip

Hey, T-081 from a Camira will also work.
whats wrong with genuine??
gates racing belts are awesome
wh3en we installed one on a RB25, the owner said he notice that it ran so much better (snappier, as there is NO stretch in the belt) and had an awesome whistle noise(if you do get one and put it on it will seem really farkin tight but that's how they are)
if i would of seen this when you first posted it, i would of rung them and got a number for you (repco at Penrith its completely retarded and puts in some effort)

when timing belts make whistling noises its because they are too tight! this is not a good thing
a genuine belt would cost me the same or just under what i would pay for a gates/HKS belt so, might as well go the hks/gates.
I don't see the point of genuine or hks as it's a proven non interference engine and it's not known for belt breakages. Just get the gates for $30 or so. I Wonder if people in the Gates factory are wondering why their Lada belts sell so well.
to me its not a matter of the belt braking and bending anything but its more the reliabilty side of it. it doesnt matter if the motor is interference or not because once that belt breaks the engine isnt going to be running. my $40 genuine toyota belt gives me more chance that it isnt going to break than cheap after market belts.
i have seen plenty of gates and other aftermarket branded belts snap. the only time i have seen a toyota belt snap was the one on a driving school car that had done 240,000km.
