Maybe they didn't show enough before the short straight the crash happened on, but from the vision they showed on telly, it looks like Webber was following trying to draft, and moving when Kovalinen did.
Then Kovalinen brakes for the corner and Webber misses/miss judges the brake marker (possibly because Kovalinen bakes earlier) and plowes into the back of the Lotus.
I may be way off, but that's what the vision looks like to me.

Yeh that would explain a lot.
From the out side shot (camera on the out side middle of the corner), they do appear to be way back from the corner.
Brake check maybe, gone horribly wrong?
did kovalinen get penalised at all for it?
I think its more Webbers faullt personally
old mate kov braked 80m earleir than the previous lap, and moved to the right at the time of braking.... weber had no where to go man.... no way the telemetry says anything other than kovy at fault....

i proply would have done the same as alonso. there professional drivers they got to take every chance to improve there position (as hamilton does often which most other drivers wouldnt atempt) and when he was on the podium he didnt really celebrate, and in the interview he didnt really want to talk about. i loved massa's answers when he keep getting asked about it. other than that it was a bit of an average race, proply due to it being a narrow track. and good work for ferrari for being so strong.
and did f1 start to have a budget because the last few race they have bearly had a table on front of them in the post race interviews. know they have same dicky little thing where they have to reach down to get the drinks.

just a heads up...new top gear ep has a very good section on Senna...including hamilton driving Senna's old car...
