    Default 4.3 Ratio Diff solutions?

Hi, planning on upgrading my diff in the future. Was considering alone the lines of an F series purely for already having 4.3's and just being strong.

However, i learnt today that theyre about 15mm wider each side. This becomes a problem cause then i have to either
    - redo my guards and paint (again...)
    - get smaller offset rear wheels
    - raise the car slightly

All of which i would go to ends of the earth to not do...

Was just wondering if there is any commonly used diffs out there with 4.3's, that are the same width as a standard ke70 rear end?
Might look into hilux or something, getting the diff put on a jig to sort it out so it fits up shouldnt be a problem...
    Any info would be great.

    Thanks Guys

    Grant

Hilux diff housing from a early HiLux. Weld your mounts on it. Diff centre from a more recent 4WD HiLux.

Grant, occasionally there are some F-series diffs that pop up (Late 1960's!!! MKII Corona) .. it's exactly the same width as our AE/KE's, measuring in at 1410mm

If you could get ahold of one of those it would be perfect, but they come with 4.1 ratio gears

But you can find better ratios in the above (stolen from oldschool toymods stuff i bookmarked)

    4.30 - GA61 Celica XX manual(F285)LSD
    4.30 - MS123 Crown auto(F282)

    4.556 - MA63 Supra auto(EDM?) (F252)

    4.75 - MS57 Crown auto(F??2 - no build plate fitted)

    4.778 - MS110 crown auto(F362)

Bit off the topic but why wouldn't you want 4.1's? I've got 4.5's now and I'm wanting to go to 4.1 to get a bit longer gearing.
I thought 4.3 would still be a bit too long?

    for acceleration.

Shorter diff on the track means he can use third and fourth as his main gears, make the t50 last longer when youre not smashing 2nd.
