    Default My Ke70 Daily-CA18DET Powered

Hey new to this forum so thought i should show off my keto...

I bought it about 3 months ago from evan at wheelworx.

The old 4k threw a leg out of bed in the first week then got stolen by some abo's and dumped in the port( only damage smahes window and ingnition bit dodgey) and after finally gettin it back i had a ca18det external gate package that was going into my s13, That planned was quickly scrapped and everything from the s13 went into the ke.

    front end wise:

    S13 Crossmember.
    S13 LCA
    S13 Rack
S13 Tie rods and Pillow ball ends
    S13 Knuckles
    S13 coilovers
    S13 Sr20det Brakes.

    Has power steering

Using standard Ke70 castor rods and sway bar just redrilled LCA's.

all new bushes used in front end.

Was pretty strait forward swapover only needing to prelong a few wholes on the crossmember..

Then went in the Ca18det it had bolted to it the following goodies..

    Ca18det
    GTR Injectors
    RB20AFM
    KKR 330hp turboAll braided lines.
    High Mount manifold
Ebay external gate-Looking for new one...
    DE cams.
    FMIC
    Xtreme HD clutch
    5 speed box.

    Oil cooler on its way.

note was going lowmount but woulnt fit with external gate.

using l20 rad there but went back to 4k we'll see how that goes.

I also upgraded the fuel system with:

    Facet Lift pump
    1.2L surge tank.
    VL feed pump.

The the little rear end i didnt think would handle the powers of the shitty little ca18 so i got a T series rear end welded it up for now until i can afford a 2 way, did all the bushes in the rear with noltec panard rod and whiteline sway bar and xf springs.

Adelaide tailshaft services made the taily is 1 peiece 3inch.

Had to make custom gearbox mount with help of a mate as im still a L plater with the welder.

I stole a loom from a mate that had ca18det in his blue bird so was easy as to wire up. Its all hidden under or behind the glove box so engine bay is kinda clean

Made the exhaust myself from turbo back 2.5in to 2 2in twinpipes.(getting muffer)

had some Greddy gauges and Rsm so they went in. Boost, Oil Temp, Oil press, Ext Temp and water temp.
Also had a shitty bucket seat made some rails yesterday for that.
mounted batterey in the back seat
    Dildo knob

Jeff from the Speed Lab tuned it on 10psi make 150rwkw.
Hoping to get new gate and wind 14psi in to it...

Got the car all running and went to a track day on the 17th and the little old ca18 lasted 4 laps before i spun a coupla bearings.

i was going to sell after this but though f**k it.

since then i have had it out and new bottom end back in.

Got the other front to put on just need lights.

    PLANS:
    fix rear gaurds flare more
    maybe some short stroke shocks
    2 way lsd
A set of fat challengers and respray. but thrash first...

Im heading down now to get it running and fixing a few little issues i had.

    hope you like.

will put up some more pics when i get home this arvo as this is all old setup and made little better now.

    cheers ben.

so you put a 150kw turbo motor into the corolla with a stock ke borgy diff? and still managed to wreck the motor first? i tip my hat to you my friend.

what was the tune like? ca's have notorious oil drainage issues so i'd look at the catch can setup u have. also the tune can cause issues.

Pretty much just had to prelong the holes so matches up to Ke70 Crossmember bolts.

Not much only realy trans tunnel

    Yep there Fair tasty hey...

Na threw a let out of bed with the 4k in it.

I did T-18 rear end with motor convo...

The tune is pretty sweet and infact i think it will stay where its at for while cos its pretty nuts...

Got a oil catch can i made up that will have a return to the turbo oil drain just dont fit very well with rb20 radiator thats in but thats coming out and getting 4k one again so will be sweet.

Cheers for all your comments its still work in progress hope to have looking like some of the other KE/AE on this forum...Same crazy rolla's...

nice setup. pretty similar to mine

do you mean your catch can will drain back into the sump? i need to install a catch can on mine asap. also if you're looking for a radiator a boxy model camry sv21 with a v6 has a perfect radiator. big twin thermo's and the outlets are on the correct side for a ca. mine never gets hot even thrashing it in this weather.

    Cheers
