FS- wrecked ae86 (front end damage) [east subs of melb]
Hi all,
Ok, due to unfortunate circumstances my car has been in an accident and is not repairable according to my insurance company.
The car (due to its age) has not been written off and the rego is still on the car until May 1st 2010 so if you are handy with a spanner and know someone who can do a dodgy RWC then it is possible (but unlikely) the car could keep its rego. Otherwise the car is a perfect candidate to have then engine and parts transferred into a donor car.
As you can see by the photos the car has extensive front end damage and does not look to great. I am no mechanic so Im not sure what would be needed to fix it (if it is fixable at all). The front drivers guard is stuffed but the pax side is fine. The rest of the car is undamaged – the only damages are in the front and the chassis rail and radiator. The engine has not been impacted.
I’d rather sell the car as a whole and I’m looking for $2000 for the lot as you can see in the pictures. This is the $$ figure that I paid for the wreck back from the insurance company as Id rather the see the car/parts go back into the community rather that go to a wreckers for the wreckers to charge us all double the price for the parts!
